Welcome to my Blog! Whether you are a new reader, or you have been keeping up with my posts for a while, hello, my name is Ali and I am so happy to have you here! We are currently in a series called blogmas I am sure you have probably heard of it! If you haven’t, I will explain it to you right now. Blogmas is when you make a blog post every day from December first, til christmas. We are currently on day 6! If you haven’t read my other posts, feel free to check them out after you read this one of course!!
In todays post we are talking about a night routine that might help you to have a good night sleep. I am not going to guarantee that this will work for you, but this is what works for me most nights, and I wanted to share it with you!
Also, I do not do this every single night, but on nights that I want a really relaxing and restful night, these are the things that I do.
After I have a long day at school and work, I am usually pooped. After I get everything I need to get done, I put away the computer, and try to stay off my phone as much as possible (but lets be honest I am still on it a lot). Sometimes I will turn on the TV and watch an episode or two of Grey’s Anatomy or Friends, depending on how much time I have. Then I will take a nice warm bath, with like a thousand candles burning because I am basic and I’m obsessed with candles, and you are too, and if you say you’re not you’re lying. I usually put lavender essential oils, lavender bubble bath, lavender epsom salts, or a bath bomb in my bath, and read, or bring my laptop into the bathroom and watch some more Grey’s or Friends. I always feel bad when I take a bath and use big bath bombs, because I feel like I am not in there long enough to take it all in. But I get so bored and I need to do something else, so I get out of the bath within like thirty minutes. Then I will dry myself off and put on some cozy pajamas. Then I go around my room and turn on my fairy lights, and my Himalayan Salt Lamp, and because it is the christmas season and I have a tree in my room I turn that on too (Christmas Decor Post Coming Soon). Then I will turn on a guided meditation, and meditate anywhere from ten minutes to thirty minutes, depending on what I am feeling. After I mediate, I will either watch some inspiring youtube videos, or read a few chapters from a self help book. I am currently reading #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, and I 10/10 recommend it to anyone who is thinking about starting their own business, or just needs to switch up their lives. By the time I have read my book for a while and gotten settled into bed, its about ten O’clock, and I will turn on my alarm and get my humidifier ready, with my essential oils in it. Then I turn off my lights and dim my himalayan salt lamp, and let myself drift off to sleep.
