Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018

Hello my lovelies!! Welcome to waves of inspiration! My name is Ali and I am so excited to have you here! Its been a week since I’ve posted, and I have to say its been kinda weird not posting everyday. Blogmas was a lot of fun, but it was also a lot of work, and a weeks break was definitely needed. I spent my week away from blogging, working, and getting over a sickness and an infected lymph node, as well as planning for the new year!

Its January 2nd, so most people probably have planned everything out for their resolutions, or maybe you haven’t. But I am going to share with you, my plans, planning tips, goals, and more information for 2017! So lets get into it!

First, I am making goals, and I am going to work to achieve my goals. But if I do not accomplish my goals, I will not be mad at myself or be upset. It is what it is, but I am going to work my butt off to achieve my goals and work towards my dreams.

This year, in order to keep my thoughts and goals and dreams organized, I made a life notebook. I got this specific notebook for christmas, so I don’t know where it is from, but you can pick up whatever notebook works for you.

I organized my notebook like this:

The first two pages are empty, so if later on I decide to make a title page, or a table of contents, I will have the space to do that.

The next page, I wrote my 2018 goals, here are a few:

  • Complete a Teatox
  • Read at least 12 books
  • Go to at least 4 concerts
  • Stick to a blog posting schedule
  • Take a personal development course

Flip the page, and you will find my monthly, and weekly goals.

Monthly:

  • Deep clean once a month
  • Add at least $200 to savings
  • Learn to cook at least 1 new meal

Weekly:

  • Take a day to reflect on the week, and see what I can do to improve
  • Take a day to tidy up room, bathroom, and office

Next page you will find my daily goals, and habits that I want to learn.

Daily:

  • Meditations
  • Affirmations
  • Read 10 pages every day
  • Devotionals
  • Yoga or Workout

Habits:

  • Drink more water
  • Focus more on the important things

Continuing onto the next page, we have My 2018 Affirmations, so here are a few of those as well:

  • I love every cell of my body
  • I am an open channel for creative ideas
  • Today is going to be a really really good day
  • This winter, I restore my body by tuning into my needs

Next, I have my Morning Yoga, and Morning Workouts.

Next, I have my list of Books that I want to read:

  • The Happiness Project – Gretchen Rubin
  • Never Eat Alone – Keith Ferrazzi
  • Harry Potter 1-7 – J.K. Rowling (I have read them all but it has been a long time and I want to re-read them)
  • Everything, Everything – Nicola Yoon

On the next page of my life notebook, I have a January Productive Morning Routine, that I will do on mornings that I am feeling productive.

Continuing on, I have 30 Self – Care Ideas ranging from taking a nice bath, to decluttering your office space.

Flipping the page once more, you’ll come across my Essential Oil Diffuser Blends, and the number of drops that you need for each blend. (Stay tuned for a diffuser recipe post)

The next 5 pages, are a weekly goal and habit tracker, for every day of the month of January.

Next, I have a list of ideas of Random Acts Of Kindness, so that I can make other peoples day.

My next few pages, are information that I got out of my Eat Pretty Every Day devotional, inspiration booklet.

This devotional gives recipes, and inspiration to living a healthy life, and to nourishing your body to live at your fullest potential.

So the first of my devotional pages I have a beauty meal page, where I have wrote down healthy snack, or small meals.

The next page I have a list of foods, such as cinnamon and salmon, and what sort of things that they contribute to your nourishment.

Flip the page over, and we come across a Sweet Winter Cashew Milk Hot drink recipe. If you would like me to post the recipes that I learn throughout 2018, comment down below telling me what you’d like to see!!

Continuing on, I have my word of the year. Technically, the devotional told me to write a word to focus on throughout the year. But as we all know, life changes rapidly and things change often. Which is why, I think this word that I chose, Might just be a monthly, or quarterly word. My word that I chose is:

OPEN

I am open to creativity, I am open to new experiences, I am open to new opportunities, I am open to new friendships, I am open to new changes, I am open to the universe, I am open to positivity,  I am open to the new year to come.

Now that we have gone over my planning for 2018, I am going to show you my meditation book, and how I plan on meditating this year.

Now this book, Isn’t a sit cross legged, and chant at the universe type of meditation, but I will also be incorporating that type of meditation into my practice, as well as doing meditation and yoga. This book however, tells a small story, and asks you a question to focus on throughout the day and to answer. I am answering my questions in my journal.
